Sauna Kits and DIY or Do It Yourself Sauna kits are very polular. For many reasons, many people want to build their own saunas from a kit. Building your own sauna can allow you to customize the design and can save you money by doing it yourself.
When Building your own Sauna DIY or from a kit you need to decide a few things before you get started.
Traditional or Infrared?
What type of materials will you build from?
Where ill you install your sauna?
How much do you want to spend?
Traditional saunas use a normal heater to heat rocks that then create steam to heat the sauna. Where an infrared sauna uses an Infrared heater to heat the surfaces in the sauna rather than heathing the air.
Locating your DIY sauna in the right place is key to enjoying it and getting the most use from it. Some people want an outdoor sauna but it can be hard to use in the rain or dark or if you live in a snowy climate you may not want to go outside to use your sauna. Locating your sauna kit indoors is probably more convenient and will heat faster than an outdoor sauna in cold weather.
Budget is always an issue for most people in this economy. Be sure you have an accurate list of all the costs involved, including shipping, running electrical lines and ventalation. You don't want to be surprised half way through the project.
